Mastering Time Management
Overview: This 60-minute instructor-led presentation and Q+A workshop was designed to help new and existing managers (healthcare focused) develop practical time-management habits and improve daily focus. The session introduced two evidence-based prioritization frameworks (Eisenhower Matrix and Time Blocking) and included a guided time-audit exercise and personal action plan.
I designed the slide deck and participant materials in PowerPoint and Google Slides and facilitated the session live via Microsoft Teams. The goal was to help participants immediately apply techniques within the first week after training and ongoing. Feedback collected post-session showed increased confidence and self-reported improvements in managing competing priorities.
Learning Objectives:
1. Identify time drains impacting their productivity.
2. Apply prioritization frameworks to plan their weekly tasks.
3. Commit to one-week and one-month micro action plans to improve focus and reduce context-switching.
Tools: PowerPoint | Google Slides | Google Drive | Loom | Microsoft Teams
Design Process
• Analyze: Interviewed 5 managers with under 1 year of supervision experience and 5 managers with over 1 year of supervision experience to identify pain points in task prioritization and scheduling.
• Design: Wrote measurable objectives and mapped a 60-minute flow combining instruction, reflection, and activity.
• Develop: Created a branded slide deck, facilitator guide, and participant handouts (time audit + action planner).
• Implement: Delivered live webinar; included time for peer Q&A.
• Evaluate: Post-training survey showed a 28% average increase in confidence scores on time-management skills.
Reflection: This workshop demonstrates my ability to design and facilitate instructor-led training that drives behavior change. By combining self-reflection with immediate goal-setting, I helped new and existing managers create sustainable productivity habits. The course’s simplicity and clarity made it easy to scale across departments.
